CONCEPT
Cotton has its own drape, just as wool has its own. Furuhashi textiles take the inherent texture of each of these materials and weave them into a blended, coherent whole. Our textiles have a thread density 5 to 10% higher than that of conventional fabrics, and are woven with a slower shuttle to produce a fuller, more lush feel. Clothing made with Furuhashi textiles brings the pleasure of natural materials to the wearer through all five senses. Thin, weightless materials stay light and ethereal, while heavier materials maintain their substantial fullness. These are textiles that subtly portray a running theme from the design stage to the finished clothing.

Hamamatsu, where our operations are located, has long been known for its production of textiles and is home to many textile manufacturers. We exclusively use shuttle looms and traditional production methods that go back over half a century, and we develop and manufacture unique textiles that pass on the look and feel of the original material. Our products generate keen interest not only in Japan, but in Europe and other countries as well.
